Phakic IOL (Intraocular Lens)

If you are very nearsighted and have been told that you are not a candidate for laser vision correction, there may be another way for you to reduce your need for glasses or contact lenses – an intraocular lens or IOL. The lens is placed inside the front part of the eye during a fifteen minute surgical procedure. The procedure is completely reversible and the lens can be removed at a later time if desired.
